The Chess and Checkers section at the college plays a crucial role in the intellectual development of students. It promotes the development of parallel thinking, logic and attention. Classes allow students to improve their planning skills and make informed decisions. Chess develops analytical skills.

The training sessions at the section take place in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The head of the section helps students to master the basic rules and master the knowledge of tactics and strategy. Special attention is paid to practical classes where students can apply the learned techniques in the game. Students of the section participate in both city and regional chess competitions.
